Our approach

  • We start by gaining an understanding of your challenges and objectives. Then we conduct an assessment and benchmarking exercise using a combination of our proprietary Stillness Organisational Stress Assessment (SOSA). At the end of this stage, we provide you with a report highlighting where stress sits within your organisation.

  • We run focus groups and interviews to delve deeper into the SOSA results. From there, we put together a comprehensive Stress Management Strategy for your business, which includes priority areas, and a variety of interventions to address each over time.

  • We can work with you to implement the strategy via our own network of organisational change experts and specialist practitioners, or we can train your internal experts. Whatever suits you best.

  • We can support you to change the narrative within your business about stress and promote and communicate your plan and progress against it, internally and externally.

Stillness Organisational Stress Assessment (SOSA)

SOSA is an assessment and benchmarking tool that allows us to map your organisation’s relationship with stress.

Taking just 10 minutes to complete, it is based on research and data from a wide variety of health and behavioural sources, including the NHS, APA, and HSE, as well as SCARF and ADKAR.

It is based on the six attributes most likely to cause negative stress when either over- and under- expressed in a system: Status, Certainty, Connection, Autonomy, Fairness and Capability.

As the first step in the process, SOSA also plays a vital role in creating a more positive stress mindset in your workforce. The questions, flow and language have been designed specifically to begin to shape a new organisational stress narrative.
